Taking pictures for the hockey team went pretty good today. I’m surprised my camera actually held up. i didn’t think it would be able to focus fast enough, but it did. I was happy with a lot of my shots for once. the only bad thing was the high ISO and shooting through the glass (which was completely marked up). it wasn’t even that bad though and it was fun. i think i might want to become a pro sports photographer…

today I took pictures for my aunt at her 2nd wedding reception since she didn’t get a pro photographer (she lives in Arizona so she got married there and had a reception here too). That went pretty good.. Tomorrow i’m taking pictures at the Wantagh-Seaford Bayman hockey game. depending on how this goes tomorrow will probably help me with deciding what i want to do in life.. I would definitely be a pro sports photographer if i could!
I have an idea!
So on Sunday I was at my great aunt’s apartment helping to clean her living room. My great uncle passed away about 14 years ago. I was looking at books in one of the closets and i found his old slide projector in the bottom of the closet. I looked around a little more and I found his old photography slides. The pictures are amazing. He used to be a scientist and a lot of the pictures were minerals and chemicals that he took through a microscope. The colors and patterns are beautiful. My aunt told me how he always wanted to publish his pictures in a book so that people could enjoy and learn from the pictures. He never got a chance to work on that. So I want to try and make that book for my aunt, as long as she is okay with me doing that of course. She’s 94 years old and she has done a lot during her life and I feel like this could be a way to say thank you and to make her happy. My mom thinks it’s a great idea, so I’m going to try to go through with it.

This is gonna be a fun night.
I gotta write 5 poems (and I’m not creative at all), a mission statement essay and i gotta pack for my vacation to Arizona, which i leave for right after school tomorrow. I have to do all of this before i go to sleep tonight.. and facebook is distracting the fuck outta me.
But on a happier note, I’m really excited to go to Arizona :D
